Cookie Policy

Effective:

Last updated:

This Cookie Policy explains how indielist (the "Service") uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, and SDKs. They let a site remember your actions and preferences, measure usage, and operate securely.

2. Categories we use

Strictly necessary. Required for the Service to work โ€” for example, keeping you signed in, remembering your theme (light/dark) preference, securing forms, and load balancing. These cannot be switched off through our interface because the Service would not function without them. They do not require consent.

Analytics / performance. Help us understand how the Service is used in aggregate โ€” which pages are popular, where errors occur, how performance trends. We use a privacy-respecting analytics setup and, where required, only after you consent. This data is aggregated and not used to identify you personally.

Preferences. Remember choices you make (such as display settings) to give you a more personal experience.

We currently do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this Policy and request consent where required before any such cookies are set.

3. Cookies set by third parties

Some cookies may be set by providers who run parts of the Service on our behalf โ€” for example, our payment provider on checkout pages, or our analytics provider. These providers process data under contract and their own privacy notices.

4. Affiliate and outbound links

When you click an affiliate or outbound link, the destination site may set its own cookies to attribute the visit. We do not control those cookies; they are governed by the destination's policies. See our Terms of Service for our affiliate disclosure.

5. Managing cookies

You can control cookies in several ways:

  • Consent controls. Where we ask for consent to non-essential cookies, you can accept or decline, and change your choice later.
  • Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the Service.
  • Opt-out tools. Some analytics providers offer their own opt-out mechanisms.

For more on managing cookies, see your browser's help pages or a resource such as aboutcookies.org.

6. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy as our technologies or the law change. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date below.
